sia的早年经历

在90年代初，Sia在阿德莱德开始了acidjazz的演出。并在她17岁时加入了一个Jazz-funk乐队，Crisp，并担任了主唱。在发行了两张专辑(《WordandtheDeal》(1996)和、《Delerium》(1997))后的1997年，Sia离开了乐队并以Trip-hop歌手的身份推出了她的首张个人专辑《OnlySee》--诞生于她在阿德莱德的车库并卖出了1200份，还有1000份仅在阿德莱德当地卖出。

什么是RUNK、 Trip hop 、New age、 迷幻英伦、 迷幻电音 ？

Trip-Hop是英伦／欧洲跳舞音乐的一种，它的名字来源是'Trip＋Hip Hop'＝'Trip-Hop'，因为它发源自英国的Bristol,因此最早时称作'Bristol Hip-Hop'。由于把Hip-Hop（其实很多音乐都是架构在Hip-Hop上的...不知啥是Hip-Hop的去看看跳街舞的人, 他们多半是用Hip-Hop音乐来跳的）.节奏变慢(有时很慢很慢),加入一些迷幻的味道,如很阴沉,肥厚的Bass,轻微但迷幻的合成音效,或是些唱片的取样,有时可能连唱片的杂音都会被"故意"取样进去.所谓'Trip'，指迷幻，氤氲的药物「旅程」，所以,Trip-Hop是种慢板的迷幻的、有 Jazz感觉的、迷糊的、带点 Hip Hop节奏的 Break beat音乐。它虽然隶属跳舞音乐类，但其迷幻迷糊特色已令它跳一般跳舞音乐所有的明确节拍特色相去很远。

New Age Music风格

New Age音乐的风格流派，我把它分了一分：一是直系类（如Contemporary Instrumental等）、二是旁支类（如Adult Alternative等，注意这里的旁支与New Age Music的关系可以是被包括，也可能是包括）、三是地球人都知道（如Natural、Healing等）。对于前两类我会说得多一些，对于都知道的就点一下就完了，没什么可多说的。

（一）直系类

Contemporary Instrumental

在Contemporary Instrumental音乐中蕴含着New Age音乐中的激进电子乐（Progressive Electronic）的美学，但是它却更多的来自于广泛的情感和风尚。激进电子乐讲求的是豪华、精细以及宏大的作曲，而Contemporary Instrumental却自由得多，以至于其作曲很简洁、沉静，也有加入明显的个人独奏以加强其旋律上的可听性。当Contemporary Instrumental想营造一种柔美舒适的情调时，这时音乐家们就会采用大量的原声乐器。80年代早期的钢琴家George Winston的唱片确立了这种音乐的发展方向。

不是所有的此类音乐艺人都信奉New Age哲学，即使他们的音乐经常是由相类似的情感所发；而且，Contemporary Instrumental可以从流行、摇滚、爵士、民谣、古典以及世界音乐等音乐中汲取元素。80年代和90年代之后，这种音乐和其它音乐类型进一步的交叉融汇，使得某些音乐家不仅仅局限在Contemporary Instrumental之中。

Neo-Classical

这种音乐有两点：一是受到古典音乐的影响；二是不用通常的古典音乐演绎方式。很多当代的器乐家都是玩古典音乐出生，但是这些人就不赞成古典音乐中的条条框框，而是打破这些束缚，另辟蹊径，有的就直接将前人的作品拿来按照自己的想法进行重新演绎，这即是新古典。在新古典音乐中除了有来自古典音乐的影响外，还有取自巴洛克、浪漫主义和印象主义等诸多元素。

Ethnic Fusion

不要将这里的Ethnic Fusion和World Fusion（爵士音乐和世界音乐的融合）以及Worldbeat（加入了西方流行音乐元素的世界音乐）搞混了。Ethnic Fusion一般是建立在New Age音乐的声音和哲学之上，是将传统的各民族音乐融入当代的电子音乐中，以期在西方的偏重技术和自然与民族的文化间找到一种和谐与平衡。爵士音乐家Tony Scott和Don Cherry可能是第一次将世界音乐合成到西方音乐体裁中；Jon Hassell的著名的音乐拓宽了这些Ethnic Fusion实验的范围，并由此在70年代促成了这种音乐类型，后来他又在80年代早期和Ambient的先驱Brian Eno进行合作。渐渐地，这种音乐类型成了当代诸多敢于冒险的器乐家们借用新鲜的节奏和非西方的乐器来拓宽自身音乐领域的一种乐衷的方式，而另外一些人则是在独特的民族音乐中加入当代器乐或是新世纪音乐的成分。后者的艺术家如Clannad（塞尔特民谣）、Ottmar Liebert（弗拉门哥）、Kitaro（日本传统音乐）和R. Carlos Nakai（美国本土笛乐）。90年代早期，Enigma, Dead Can Dance和Deep Forest又在这种音乐中引入了俱乐部跳舞节奏以及混音技术，其应用可以从欧洲中世纪音乐直到采样的非洲土著音乐。但尽管如此，这种音乐也很少可能有更大的市场突破。

Meditation

冥想（可以看作是一种高级的打盹方式）。在New Age风行的今日，冥想成为New Agers实践的一种重要方式，同时也产生了配合这种方式的音乐。在New Age音乐中就有很多的音乐就是专门为冥想活动而做的（有时是不太适合当音乐来听的）。这种音乐一般没有明显的节奏，音乐上表现地平滑、流畅，使听者能够放松身心，有时音乐家们也会借助一些自然的声效来加强意境的渲染。

Solo Instrumental

这种音乐通常是音乐家们经由民间音乐激发的灵感而创作，其演绎通常是纯乐器，如钢琴、吉他、塞尔特的竖琴纯乐器，甚至还有铸打成的洋琴。这种音乐直接促成了Windham Hill和Narada这样的成功的新世纪音乐厂牌，而这些厂牌又在其发展中将这种音乐导向印象主义的方向。这种音乐中有不少作品是颇具创新的，并且也非常感人。只是到后来，有些二流的音乐机会主义分子混进来，结果使得这种音乐落了个“听觉壁纸”这么个名声，当然，一些出色的音乐艺人仍一直在向人们展示着这种音乐的真实所在。

Techno-Tribal

Techno-Tribal是Ethnic Fusion的独特变种。尤其多见在一些激进的电子原音音乐家的作品中，他们将人类最原始的音乐表达和当今的技术手段（尤其是电子音乐技术）进行创造性的融合，具体来说就是将非洲、澳洲以及南北美洲的部落音乐节奏用高超的电子音乐重新演绎。创作这种音乐需要极高的技艺和对音乐的感知，如果音乐家能够成功地将以上两者结合在一起，则结果将是一部非常出色的作品，而反之，则将成为此音乐赖之以存的那些文化的拙劣模仿。

（二）旁支类

Adult Alternative

这种风格包括的范围较广，他是在人们不想听一般的流行乐但又不想偏离主流的背景下产生的。这种风格的音乐受到Pop、Rock以及Jazz Fusion影响较多，大部分情况是以器乐为主，好的音乐家可以创造出优美的旋律、丰富多彩的乐器音色以及富于活力的节奏，偏离主流而不脱离主流，当然，这其中也有一些作品只是陈词滥调的流行乐而已。

注：Adult Alternative是个宽泛的词，并不仅指New Age Music

Ambient

这个不用多说了吧！想必大家都知道的。

Chamber Jazz

这种音乐的外在表现是以小型的基于原声器乐的演奏团体形式出现，在这种音乐中有两个重要因素：一是即席创作，这时就更偏向于爵士风格；二是其中的民族乐（Ethnic）元素，因此上它也吸取了世界各地文化的传统音乐。这种音乐的创作倾向于新古典主义的音乐美学以及受到印象派的影响。

Electro-Acoustic

这种音乐的风格经常会代表着音乐技术发展的本身，但是与一般采样和用合成器合成复制原音不同的是，这种音乐的作曲者是在于要将原音进行变异的处理，有时甚至会达到一种不可感知的状态。真正的此类艺术家从不会用现代合成器上预设的音色，而是自己创作出独特的音色。在这类音乐中的前卫领域中，电子的成分在作品的整体理念中发挥着更为重要的作用，而同时也应用原音乐器来为作者的技术增加一种全新的听感角度。最后，这种音乐具有其两面性：好的作品可以给予听、想和感知一种全新的世界，而差的作品则便会沉溺于技术而忽略音乐的情感表达。

（三）地球人都知道

Healing

照字面理解就行了，这种New Age音乐可以让听者在听音乐的同时能够得到类似治疗的效果，这种音乐的结构和声音大部分都取自Contemporary Instrumental。

Nature

无需多说！在Contemporary Instrumental音乐中融入自然的声音，以此将艺术和大自然融为一体。

Self-Help

这种音乐也是建立在Contemporary Instrumental基础之上，也许同时就是Contemporary Instrumental，Self-Help更加突出这种音乐的意图－让听者能够听着轻柔的音乐来放松心情。
